Anderson and Butler

I'm a huge fan of the works of both men. More of their collaborative work in Suede. Bernard Butler did not meet that much commercial success like Brett Anderson and the rest of Suede did. (Butler left Suede amidst the recording of the group's 2nd album, "Dog Man Star".) However, Butler did achieve a certain amount of critical success during his tenure in McAlmont & Butler. Personally, I thought that was incredible, way much better than the latter day dumbed-down Suede.
Butler had always expressed regret, being unable to finish what they had done 10 years ago with the amazing "Dog Man Star". So did Anderson as documented in several interviews with NME. Well, 2 men are on the last leg of their careers. This musical partnership had been seen as one of the best since Lennon and McCartney or Morrissey and Marr. It's not without fanfare when Anderson and Butler announced their reunion, having made up earlier this year. Now, they are almost done with the recording with their album.

To be honest, I'm not too that excited about the reunion and am sorta waiting for it with a ho-hum attitude of "Let's see how thye would fuck this up". But to be honest, it's still an album that I'm looking forward to get. I'm feeling nostalgic for my youth once again.
